Description
On 7 and 8 July, Blue Kwok, hirsk, Daniel Chu, Jonathan Yang, Wong Tak-chung and Victor Chu team up for a contemporary trip through the work of influential avant-garde German band Kraftwerk.
Times have changed since the innocent pre-digital 70s when Kraftwerk emerged with robot-pop sounds like Autobahn and audiences dreamed of a bright, benevolent computer-aided future. Revisiting work from albums created between the 70s and the 90s, the ensemble deconstruct and reconstruct iconic sounds, adding a new dimension of noise and human complexity to the audio-visual landscape and offering a more layered sense of where the computerised world is taking us today.
Freespace Ensemble Pop Plus brings together top Hong Kong artists for four days of exciting cross-genre collaborations.
