    Description

    In light of the current situation, the performances of Tea House Chamber Music Series: Young Pro Platform – Venture Into The Unknown due to take place on 25 January 2022 (Tuesday), 8 February 2022 (Tuesday), 22 March 2022 (Tuesday) and 12 April 2022 (Tuesday) have been rescheduled.     Between January and April, the talented emerging musicians of Young Pro Platform – part of The Orchestra Academy Hong Kong – present four unconventional chamber music concerts in the intimate setting of the Xiqu Centre Tea House Theatre. Mixing strings, woodwind, brass and percussion, the concerts are devised for three to six players and showcase a wide spectrum of musical styles and genres, including classical, contemporary and pop music. 

     

    The Young Pro Platform comprises 19 graduates of the School of Music at The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. It is one of the core schemes of The Orchestra Academy Hong Kong, a programme co-directed by the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra and The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. 

     

    The Tea House Chamber Music series offers audiences a diverse range of performances by prominent Hong Kong musicians in the intimate setting of the Xiqu Centre’s Tea House Theatre. Stay tuned for details of upcoming events.

    Concessions
    • $180 for senior citizens aged 60 or above, people with disabilities and a companion, Comprehensive Social Security Assistance (CSSA) recipients and full-time students. Ticket holders must present proof of eligibility on admission.
    • Above discount offers are not valid in conjunction with other promotional offers. 
    • If you are a wheelchair user or a person with a disability, you are entitled to buy one ticket at a concessionary price and one additional ticket at the same price for a companion. If there are more than two people in your party, all other tickets will be at standard price unless the party members qualify for a concession in their own right.

    Remarks
    • You are recommended to arrive 15 minutes before the event starts. Latecomers will not be admitted until a suitable break. Food and drinks may not be consumed in the venue.
    • For the safety of participants, visitors, artists and staff, please note the following health precautions:
      • Except for exempted persons, all persons will be required to use the “LeaveHomeSafe” (LHS) app to scan the venue QR code before they are allowed to enter performing arts venues.
      • Please bring your own mask and wear it at all times in the venue.
      • Temperature checks will be carried out before admission. Visitors showing a temperature of 37.5°C or above will not be able to participate.
      • If you have travelled outside of Hong Kong in the past 14 days or are wearing a home quarantine tracking wristband, please wait until your quarantine period is over before visiting West Kowloon.
