西九文化區管理局聲明

At the special meeting of the House Committee of the Legislative Council on 6 January, the Chairman of the Board of the West Kowloon Cultural District Authority gave a full account of the process and considerations leading to the Hong Kong Palace Museum in the West Kowloon Cultural District. 

Despite the detailed explanation, the Authority is aware of diverse remarks and comments on the project and concerns expressed by the community about the process over the weekend.  The Authority takes the view that these public concerns, if not addressed as soon as possible, would divert attention from the public consultation. 

Accordingly, the Authority has decided to defer today’s launch to tomorrow afternoon, 10 January, after the scheduled Board meeting.  A press conference will be held thereafter to provide the Authority’s consolidated responses to all those issues.  Details of the press conference will be announced shortly.
