    The Board of the West Kowloon Cultural District Authority (WKCDA) announced the establishment of West Kowloon Cultural District Foundation Limited (the Foundation) and appointment of Board members to the Foundation.  The Foundation is a wholly-owned subsidiary company of WKCDA and is responsible for formulating strategies, policies and guidelines in relation to fundraising operations and related activities across all areas of WKCDA.  Donations to the Foundation will be used to fund the arts and cultural activities undertaken by WKCDA, which are in line with the Foundation’s charitable objectives. 
     

    The Foundation is a charitable institution, which is exempt from tax under section 88 of the Inland Revenue Ordinance, Cap. 112, and the approved charitable donation is eligible for tax deduction.
     

    The Board of the Foundation consists of five members and the term of appointment is from 30 January 2019 to 15 November 2020.
