Description

音樂節期間除了欣賞表演，還可透過由本地爵士團體「翻騰三周半」主持的一系列免費入門節目，加深認識爵士文化，更有機會淺嘗爵士合奏的樂趣。

 

近年瞬間冒起、堪稱爵士界奇葩的「翻騰三周半」，由一眾年輕和演出經驗豐富的專業樂手組成，他們為向普羅大眾推廣爵士樂，無所不用其極。這次替音樂節觀眾設計的多個速成班，涵蓋文化、知識、創作和演繹等不同範疇，形式輕鬆生動，令你無負擔下踏進爵士世界。節目包括︰

 

爵史
把爵士樂發展百多年的來龍去脈分成三講，用說故事形式娓娓道出，「講故佬」更會即席與樂隊配上現場演奏，帶大家走進有聲的歷史。

 

爵士 x 哲學講座（李敬恒主講）
李敬恆（大師兄Roger）帶你循哲學角度漫談爵士。

 

Y2K 廣東歌大樂隊講座
把香港人從小聽到大的廣東歌編成爵士樂版本，然後和你拆解爵士的編曲手法和特點 。

 

爵士母語教室
以人聲作樂器，即學即用，一同參與Bebop Head合奏。

 

翻騰Bebop DJ x Live Band Set
備有現場樂隊與DJ的派對，一同用身體與耳朵去感受Bebop的衝擊與反叛。

 

參加者須於2023年9月27日（星期三）前預先登記，名額有限，先到先得。成功登記之參加者將收到電郵確認。

晚上8時至9時30分 爵史Ep 1
由起源講起，涉獵黑人靈歌、藍調、ragtime等音樂類型。

 

2023年10月7日（星期六）

下午2時至3時 爵士 x 哲學講座（李敬恒主講）
下午3時30分至5時 爵史Ep 2
題目覆蓋bebop、cool jazz、hardbop、Latin jazz、modal jazz、free jazz、avant garde jazz 及jazz fusion。
晚上8時30分至9時45分 Y2K 廣東歌大樂隊講座

 

2023年10月8日（星期日）

下午3時30分至4時45分 爵士母語教室
下午5時15分至6時45分 爵史Ep 3
介紹各時代的音樂潮流，例如odd metre jazz、hip-hop等，亦會提及相關的代表人物，包括Pat Metheny、Michael Brecker、Jacob Collier、Domi and JD Beck等。
晚上8時30分至10時 翻騰舞廳 Bebop DJ x Live Band

 

自由爵士音樂節由西九文化區主辦，獲香港特別行政區政府「文化藝術盛事基金」的資助。

Suitable for ages 12 and above.

 

Other programmes:
Suitable for ages 6 and above.

Remarks
  • If you are interested in joining the above programmes, please register in advance on or before 27 September 2023 (Wednesday). The quota is limited and assigned on a first come, first served basis. 
  • An email confirmation will be sent for successful registrations. 
  • Registered participants are recommended to arrive 15 minutes before the event starts and present their confirmation letter for admission. 
  • A limited number of quotas are available for walk-in participants on a first come, first served basis. Please queue outside the venue on the day of the event and wait. 
  • If registered participants have not arrived within 5 minutes after the start of the event, the organiser will allow walk-in participants to admit. If registered participants arrive later, the staff will make arrangements based on the situation inside the venue. 
  • The organiser reserves the right to make changes to the programme without prior notice.
