    Inspiring Change Through Performing Arts

Arts Impact Fellowship (previously known as West Kowloon Young Fellows Scheme (Performing Arts)) supports young artists, educators, researchers and arts administrators to develop pioneering initiatives that inspire change, community engagement and audience building. Proposals that show innovative potential for social impact and positive change for Hong Kong’s performing arts ecology may be selected for further co-development with West Kowloon teams.

Applications are now open for original initiatives that embrace the aims of the fellowship and will be conducted in Hong Kong.

    Aims of the fellowship:

    • Support innovative projects that inspire positive change for the community

    • Encourage the development of performing arts-related community engagement programmes

    • Encourage interdisciplinary collaborations between artists and communities

    • Cultivate community interest in performing arts, and expand the potential audience base for the Hong Kong performing arts sector

Applications are welcome from artists, arts administrators, scholars, researchers and postgraduate students aged 40 or below who are keen to develop projects that inspire community change through performing arts. Each successful fellow will receive HK$60,000 for conducting the projects and related activities. A maximum of HK$10,000 for expenses incurred on project-related activities can be reimbursed. (Up to three fellowships will be awarded)

Awardees are required to provide regular progress reports and deliver a presentation upon project completion. Projects showing promising potential may be considered for future co-development with West Kowloon.
