Riding on the success of the Safety Awards in 2015, we further developed the programme into the Safety and Environmental Performance Award to continue recognising and excellence in safety practice among the construction sites within the West Kowloon Cultural District (WKCD).
The Safety and Environmental Performance Award (previously known as Safety Performance Awards) remain as a key programme of the Scheme. The programme aims at driving up safety standards by showcasing and sharing best practices.

On 8 February 2018, the sixth Safety Performance Award Ceremony was held to acknowledge contactors and individuals’ excellent safety practices in the WKCD construction sites from July to December 2017. The Award was presented in six categories. A new award, Safety Banner Design, was introduced to reinforce the promotion and development of the safety culture in the WKCD construction sites.
