Tea House Theatre Experience at Xiqu Centre Resumes on 8 October 2020

Other Public Performances and Programmes at Xiqu Centre and Freespace Gradually Return in October

In light of the Government's announcement on lifting certain social distancing measures, the West Kowloon Cultural District Authority (the Authority) announced that public performances and programmes at the Xiqu Centre and Freespace will gradually resume in October. The Tea House Theatre Experience at the Xiqu Centre will greet audience again on 8 October 2020 (Thursday).

Tickets of the Tea House Theatre Experience are now on sale. Online ticketing is in service and the ticketing hotline services (+852 2200 0022) are available. Other public programmes at the Xiqu Centre, including Music in the Atrium and guided tours will also resume in the first week of October. We look forward to welcoming audiences at the Xiqu Centre and Freespace soon. Meanwhile, certain programmes will continue to be presented digitally via the District’s website.

The Art Park and the M+ Pavilion remain open with normal opening hours. The current installation at the M+ Pavilion Shirley Tse: Stakes and Holders has been extended to 1 November 2020.

Special seating arrangement will be implemented in the performing arts venues that seating capacity will be controlled at 50% the maximum. The tea and dim sum experience at the Tea House Theatre will be temporarily suspended, whereas visitors will get a complimentary takeaway drink after the show. Enhanced hygiene measures are also in force to safeguard the health of the visitors and staff members. Visitors will also be required to undergo temperature checks and wear masks properly at all times at the venues.

The Authority strongly appeals to visitors to the West Kowloon Cultural District (the District) to follow the regulations announced by the Government. The Authority will comply with the Government’s latest measures and will continue to review the situation and adjust the venue opening arrangements and programmes accordingly.
