    In light of the Government’s announcement on the first phase of relaxation of social distancing measures with effect from 21 April 2022, the West Kowloon Cultural District Authority (the Authority) announced the reopening of M+, Xiqu Centre and Freespace in the West Kowloon Cultural District (the District) with effect from the same date. The reservation and admission arrangements are set out as follows:

     

    1. With effect from 21 April, M+ will open from Tuesday to Sunday from 10:00am to 6:00pm except for Friday which will open until 10:00pm. Visitors are required to make reservations before visiting the galleries through M+’s designated online reservation platform which will be reopened for booking with effect from 6:00 pm today. Reservation for admission is not required for M+ Members and Patrons, who enjoy priority access through designated lanes and may bring up to three accompanying guests per visit.

       
    2. While Freespace and Xiqu Centre will reopen on 21 April and the ticketing service at Xiqu Centre Ticket Office will resume on the same date, performances and programmes with live audiences will be resumed gradually. The public can visit the District’s website for details of the upcoming programme schedule and ticketing arrangements which will be announced by the Authority in due course.

       
    3. In compliance with the social distancing measures announced by the Government on 14 April, the number of visitor/audience of the above venues will be limited to no more than 50% of their original capacity.

     

    Except for exempted persons, all visitors entering the above venues are required to wear masks at all times, use the “LeaveHomeSafe” mobile application to scan the venue QR code and comply with the “Vaccine Pass” arrangements as well as other requirements under Cap.599F. Details related to “Vaccine Pass” are as follows:

     

    1. Persons aged 12 or above are required to comply with the vaccination requirements of “Vaccine Pass” announced by the Government before entering M+ and the performing arts venues in the District (at least one dose of vaccine on or before 29 April and at least two doses starting from 30 April).

       
    2. Visitors are also required to present an electronic version or a paper copy of their COVID-19 vaccination record, or an Exemption Certificate with the relevant QR code. The venues will use the QR Code Verification Scanner mobile application to verify visitors’ “Vaccine Pass” to ensure that they are in compliance with “Vaccine Pass” requirements.

       
    3. Visitors who have recovered from COVID-19 can present the appropriate proof of recovery or infection as required by the Government.

     

    The Authority looks forward to welcoming visitors to the arts and cultural venues in the District soon and appeals to visitors to comply with the anti-epidemic regulations under Cap.599F announced by the Government from time to time. The Authority will further adjust the venue opening and admission arrangements in response to the second and third phases of relaxation of social distancing measures to be announced by the Government. Visitors are advised to visit the District’s website on the latest arrangements.
