    The West Kowloon Cultural District Authority (WKCDA) announced the reappointments of 14 serving Co-Opted Members to its committees following approval by the Board of WKCDA with effect from 1 January 2022 to 31 December 2023. The reappointed members are as follows:

    Mr Henry Tang Ying-yen, Chairman of the Board of WKCDA, welcomes the appointments. He said: ‘The exciting and encouraging development of the West Kowloon Cultural District (the District) in the past year was built on the support of its committee members from various horizons providing discerning insight to the Board of WKCDA. Backed by a diverse range of experiences, the committee members will continue to make concerted effort to steer the development of the District to new heights.’

     

    Mr Tang also expressed his gratitude to the outgoing Co-Opted Members in the past year, namely Mr David Tang Chi-fai and Dr David Wong Yau-kar, for their valuable insights, which had helped West Kowloon to achieve its mission to become a world-class integrated arts and culture hub.

    About the West Kowloon Cultural District
    The West Kowloon Cultural District is one of the largest and most ambitious cultural projects in the world. Its vision is to create a vibrant new cultural quarter for Hong Kong on forty hectares of reclaimed land located alongside Victoria Harbour. With a varied mix of theatres, performance spaces, and museums, the West Kowloon Cultural District will produce and host world-class exhibitions, performances and cultural events, providing twenty-three hectares of public open space, including a two-kilometre waterfront promenade.
