The West Kowloon Cultural District Authority (WKCDA) announced the reappointment of four existing members to its Consultation Panel with effect from 1 March 2022.
Mr Henry Tang Ying-yen, Chairman of the WKCDA Board, welcomes the appointments and expresses his gratitude to the Chairman and members of the Consultation Panel for their contribution over the past year. Mr Tang said, ‘With the long-awaited M+ opened last year, and the Hong Kong Palace Museum scheduled to open in mid-2022, the West Kowloon Cultural District is developing into a vibrant new cultural quarter for Hong Kong and the region, dedicated to bringing local and international artists together for creative and inspiring collaborations and presenting the best of eastern and western cultures. WKCDA will continue to stay connected with the community particularly through the Consultation Panel in gauging valuable opinions from the public and reaching out to the community, in particular the youth. Such engagement efforts are instrumental to fostering Hong Kong as the East-meets-West Centre for International Cultural Exchange, a mission under the Outline of the National 14th Five-Year Plan.’
