    The West Kowloon Cultural District Authority (WKCDA) welcomes the appointment of the Honourable Kenneth Fok Kai-kong as a member of the Board of the WKCDA by the Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administration Region (HKSAR) with effect from 25 February 2022 for a term of two years.

     

    Mr Henry Tang Ying-yen, Chairman of the Board of WKCDA, said, ‘Mr Fok has been actively participating in community services, especially in the promotion of arts and culture, youth services and sports. As the Legislative Council Member representing the sports, performing arts, culture and publication functional constituency, Mr Fok’s appointment to the WKCDA Board will enhance the collaboration between WKCDA and different stakeholders. I am pleased to welcome Mr Fok to the Board to share with us his invaluable insights, and look forward to working with him closely to unleash synergy between West Kowloon Cultural District (WKCD) and different sectors, thereby fostering the sustainable development of the WKCD project.’

     

    The WKCDA Board consists of the Chairman and Board Members who are appointed by the Chief Executive of the HKSAR, and the Chief Executive Officer of WKCDA as an ex-officio member. Please refer to the Annex for the latest full list of the members of the WKCDA Board starting from 25 February.

    About the West Kowloon Cultural District
    The West Kowloon Cultural District is one of the largest and most ambitious cultural projects in the world. Its vision is to create a vibrant new cultural quarter for Hong Kong on forty hectares of reclaimed land located alongside Victoria Harbour. With a varied mix of theatres, performance spaces, and museums, the West Kowloon Cultural District will produce and host world-class exhibitions, performances, and cultural events, providing twenty-three hectares of public open space, including a two-kilometre waterfront promenade.
