M+ Pavilion Attains Certificate of Excellence for Construction Project Team at RICS Hong Kong Awards 2017

The West Kowloon Cultural District Authority (WKCDA) is proud to announce that the M+ Pavilion project was presented the Certificate of Excellence in the Construction Project Team of the Year category at the annual Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) Hong Kong Awards 2017.
 

M+ Pavilion, the first core arts and culture project delivered by the WKCDA, was considered to have achieved excellence in all four core assessment criteria of the Award, namely professionalism, teamwork, innovation and technology. The award-winning M+ Pavilion project team consisted of the WKCDA’s Project Control Department, M+ users, Rider Levett Bucknall Limited, design consultants, and the team of VPANG architects ltd + JET Architecture Inc + Lisa Cheung. Working closely together, the team overcame various challenges, such as relocating the Pavilion from its original waterfront site to a site within the Art Park, and completing the project on a tight budget. The team also applied advanced and innovative technology throughout various stages of design and construction to enhance the cost effectiveness of this project.

The annual RICS Hong Kong Awards celebrate excellence, professionalism, and achievement in the built environment. This is the 6th year RICS has acknowledged the tremendous contributions of practitioners and their projects through this Award scheme in Hong Kong.
