Latest Arrangements of West Kowloon Cultural District Venues

Following the announcement of further relaxation in the social distancing measures by the Government, the West Kowloon Cultural District Authority (the Authority) announced that starting from 17 November 2022 (Thursday), the admission and social distancing arrangements will be relaxed to enable more visitors to visit the performing arts venues and museums in the West Kowloon Cultural District (the District) to enjoy the fabulous programmes presented by the Authority.

With effect from 17 November 2022, the following new arrangements will be implemented at various venues in the District –

1. except for catering premises and performance venues where patrons are allowed to eat and drink, performing arts venues and museums which require mask wearing at all time will be subject to “passive checking" rather than “active checking";
2. under ‘passive checking”, visitors will no longer be required to present their Vaccine Pass QR Code for scanning when they enter the performing arts venues and museums in the District. Visitors are however still required to scan the LeaveHomeSafe Venue QR Code and comply with the vaccination requirements under the Vaccine Pass to enter the premises, and to present the relevant vaccination records or medical exemption certificates as required by law enforcement officers during spot checks or other enforcement actions;
3. “Amber Code” holders may enter the performing arts venues and museums in the District subject to their compliance with the vaccination requirements under the Vaccine Pass.  However, they cannot enter dine-in catering premises or venues where eating and drinking is allowed; and
4. eating and drinking will be allowed at performance venues (whether indoors or outdoors) subject to “active checking”.

Since the pandemic, the Authority has strengthened anti-epidemic measures in all its facilities to ensure the safety of the public and its employees, including increasing the frequency of cleaning public places. The Authority will continue to comply with the Government’s latest social distancing measures and make timely adjustments to admission arrangements and programmes.
