The Board of WKCDA appoints Chairman and Members of the Board of M Plus Collections Limited

The West Kowloon Cultural District Authority (WKCDA or the Authority) announced that the Board of WKCDA has appointed Mr Douglas So Cheung-tak as the Chairman and Mr Davide Erro as the Vice Chairman of the Board of M Plus Collections Limited, a subsidiary wholly-owned by the Authority. Mr Douglas So Cheung-tak and Mr Davide Erro have been members of the Board of M Plus Collections Limited since 2016.

The Board of WKCDA has also appointed the following new members to the Board of M Plus Collections Limited:

Ms Elaine C Kwok
Ms Salome See Sau-mei
Ms Eve Tam Mei-yee
Professor Frank Vigneron

The terms of the above appointments are two years from 12 August 2022 to 11 August 2024.

M Plus Collections Limited was incorporated on 12 August 2016 as a wholly owned subsidiary of WKCDA to act as the Trustee of the M+ Collections Trust (the Trust). Under the Trust Deed made on 28 March 2017 by WKCDA, M Plus Collections Limited, as the Trustee, holds the legal interest in the Museum Collections for the benefit of the Hong Kong community. M Plus Collections Limited has engaged M Plus Museum Limited to manage the Museum Collections on a day-to-day basis, while M Plus Collections Limited provides oversight of the Museum Collections through an annual audit.

The West Kowloon Cultural District is one of the largest and most ambitious cultural projects in the world. Its vision is to create a vibrant new cultural quarter for Hong Kong on forty hectares of reclaimed land located alongside Victoria Harbour. With a varied mix of theatres, performance spaces, and museums, the West Kowloon Cultural District will produce and host world-class exhibitions, performances and cultural events, providing twenty-three hectares of public open space, including a two-kilometre waterfront promenade.
