Appointments of Members to the Board of Subsidiaries and an Advisory Panel under West Kowloon Cultural District Authority

The West Kowloon Cultural District Authority (WKCDA) announced the appointments and reappointments of members to the Board of its two wholly-owned subsidiaries, M Plus Museum Limited and Hong Kong Palace Museum Limited, and also to the Xiqu Centre Advisory Panel. Details are as follows.

The WKCDA Board reappoints the following members to the Board of M Plus Museum Limited (the M+ Board) for a term from 1 April 2021 to 31 March 2022 (unless otherwise specified):

The WKCDA Board appoints the following new members to the Board of Hong Kong Palace Museum Limited (the HKPM Board) for a term from 1 April 2021 to 31 March 2022 (unless otherwise specified):

^#The term of appointment will end on 31 March 2023, or on the date the member ceases to act as a member of the Board of WKCDA, whichever is the earlier.

At the same time, Mr TSANG Tak-sing is reappointed as a member of the HKPM Board for a term from 1 April 2021 to 31 March 2023.

The WKCDA Board reappoints the following members to the Xiqu Centre Advisory Panel for a term from 1 April 2021 to 31 March 2023:

Mr LIU Kwok-sum is appointed as a new member of the Xiqu Centre Advisory Panel for a term from 1 April 2021 to 31 March 2022.

M Plus Museum Limited is one of WKCDA’s wholly-owned subsidiary companies. The M+ Board is responsible for formulating the vision and mission, as well as the strategies, policies and guidelines in relation to museological matters and professional standards of M+’s operations.

Hong Kong Palace Museum Limited is another wholly-owned subsidiary company of WKCDA. The HKPM Board is responsible for formulating the vision and mission, as well as the strategies, policies and guidelines in relation to curatorial matters, professional standards and operations of the Hong Kong Palace Museum.

Working closely with the Performing Arts Committee of WKCDA, the Xiqu Centre Advisory Panel is responsible for giving professional advice on strategy and policy development relating to the operations of the Xiqu Centre, as well as talent development, arts education and partnership arrangements to allow the Xiqu Centre to fulfil its vision and mission.

About the West Kowloon Cultural District
The West Kowloon Cultural District is one of the largest and most ambitious cultural projects in the world.
