Appointment of Consultation Panel Members under the West Kowloon Cultural District Authority

The West Kowloon Cultural District Authority (WKCDA) announced the re-appointment of 12 existing members and the appointment of 4 new members to its Consultation Panel for a period of one year from 1 March 2016 to 28 February 2017.

Professor John LEONG Chi-yan is re-appointed as Chairman of the Consultation Panel. Mr Chris IP Ngo-tung, Mr Henry CHAN Chi-chiu, Mr Christopher Wicky CHEUNG and Mr Andy HO Wing-cheong are newly appointed as Consultation Panel members.

Mrs Carrie LAM, Chairman of the WKCDA Board said, “I would like to extend my sincere welcome to all new members of the Consultation Panel who are experienced in areas including arts and culture, education, youth matters and the wider community. I look forward to their input and participation in enhancing the public's understanding of and the building of a sense of ownership towards the West Kowloon Cultural District (WKCD) project, particularly among our young people.”

Mrs Lam also thanked the incumbent members and retiring members, including Dr Hon Allan ZEMAN, Ms KO Po-ling, Hon Charles Peter MOK and Hon Wayne YIU Si-wing for their contribution and support to the WKCD development.

The Consultation Panel was established in accordance with section 20 of the WKCDA Ordinance to gather public views on matters relevant to the functions of the WKCDA.
