Appointment of Committee Members under the Board of the West Kowloon Cultural District Authority

The Board of the West Kowloon Cultural District Authority (WKCDA) announced the reappointment to various committees of existing co-opted members for a two-year term from 1 January 2019 to 31 December 2020. The co-opted members being reappointed are:
 

• Audit Committee: Mr Clement CHAN Kam-wing, Mr LI Kwok-tso, Ms Sandy WONG Hang-yee, and Mr Franklin YU
• Development Committee: Prof Raymond FUNG Wing-kee, Mr Christopher LAW, Prof WONG Sze-chun
• Investment Committee: Mr Clifford CHIU, Dr CHUA Sue-wan, Mr Kevin Anthony WESTLEY, Mr Elvin YU Tin-yau
• Performing Arts Committee: Mr Vincent CHOW Wing-shing, Ms Winsome CHOW, Ms Tisa HO Kar-kuan, Dr LAM Fung, Ms Stella LAU Yin-ling, Ms Yolanda NG Yuen-ting, Dr Frankie YEUNG Wai-shing
• Remuneration Committee: Mr William CHAN Fu-keung, Mr LI Yun-tai
   

The Board also announced the appointment of four new co-opted members to its committees for a one-year term from 1 January 2019 to 31 December 2019.  
 

The Board has co-opted the following new members to its Committees:
 

• Audit Committee: Dr Carlye TSUI Wai-ling
• Development Committee: Mrs Sorais LEE KWAN Siu-kuen
• Performing Arts Committee: Mr SE-TO Yok (LOONG Koon-tin)
• Remuneration Committee: Mrs Eleanor LING LEE Ching-man
   

WKCDA’s Board Chairman, Mr Heny TANG Ying-yen, welcomed the new appointment and said, “We are glad to have four new co-opted members on board. I am confident  that the West Kowloon Cultural District (West Kowloon) project will benefit from their valuable experience and expertise when celebrating the openings of its world-class facilities.”
 

In addition, Mr Tang expressed his gratitude for the support and contribution of all committee members in the past year, including Ir Raymond CHAN Kin-sek, Prof Edward NG Yan-yung, Dr Liza WANG Ming-chun, and Dr Elvin WONG Chi-chung, who have retired from the Development Committee and the Performing Art Committee respectively.
 

WKCDA currently has six committees under the Board, including the Executive Committee, the Development Committee, the Performing Arts Committee, the Audit Committee, the Remuneration Committee and the Investment Committee. They have have been established to make recommendations in specialised areas to the Board and support the implementation of the West Kowloon project. WKCDA committees comprise Board members, co-opted members and representatives from relevant government departments in order to tap expertise from different professional and community sectors. Located on Hong Kong’s Victoria Harbour, West Kowloon Cultural District is one of the largest cultural projects in the world. Its vision is to create a vibrant new cultural quarter for Hong Kong. With a complex of theatres, performance spaces and museums, the West Kowloon Cultural District will produce and host world-class exhibitions, performances and cultural events, as well as provide 23 hectares of public open space, including a two-kilometre waterfront promenade.
