Yau Chung-wai is a freelance actor, theater instructor, film and television performance coach, and a member of the music group "Air Freshener Machine”. He has won the Best Actor (Comedy/Farce) at the 22nd Hong Kong Drama Awards, and “Performer of the Year” at IATC(HK) Critic Award 2017 by the International Association of Theatre Critics (Hong Kong). He graduated from the Drama School of the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Honours) in Acting. He has worked with various art groups, including the Theatre Ronin, Dionysus Contemporary Theatre, Black Bird Theatre, and the Hong Kong Arts Festival. He has performed in the film Everything Under Control and also served as a performance coach, and participated in the original musical theatre production Gap Life by the Whole Theatre, also serving as a lyricist. Other performances include Detention Hong Kong by Tang Shu-wing Theatre Studio and The phenomenon of man: Revolver by the On and On Theatre Workshop.
