Vvzela Kook

Hong Kong-based new media artist Vvzela Kook works in performance, theatre, computer graphics and drawing, converting urban cityscapes into integrated virtual experiences. Exploring the potential of video through condensed textures and sensual perception, she uses narrative and transmedia storytelling as a vital part of the artistic concept, mixing delicate drawings, 3D printing and video game optics to translate her research-based projects visually. Kook’s work has been shown internationally at a number of venues including the Kathmandu Triennial (2022), Para Site (2020), MoCA Taipei (2019), Microwave International Media Festival, Hong Kong (2018, 2016), PuSh Performing Art Festival, Vancouver (2017) and K11 Shanghai (2016).
