Vocalist Sherine Wong, a city girl from Kuala Lumpur Malaysia, started her jazz journey somewhat serendipitously after training as an athlete at school and taking the crown as Miss Malaysia Universe. Encouraged from a young age to live her life independently, travel and follow her heart’s desires, she discovered her match in the free expression and attitude of jazz music. Inspired by the sophisticated, romantic lyrics of “The Great American Songbook”, Wong ventured down the jazz rabbit hole to explore the possibilities of her innately sultry vocals.
