Biography
Share Ka-lok is a Hong Kong musician specialising in Cantonese opera music. He began learning the erhu under the tutelage of renowned artists Tsang Chi-wai and Shao Lin at the age of seven. After secondary school, he entered The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts’s Chinese opera programme, where he studied gaohu techniques, music theory, xiqu knowledge, music design and Chinese percussion. Share graduated with a first-class degree in 2017 and became the ensemble leader of the Young Academy Cantonese Opera Troupe in the same year. Apart from working as a music designer and ensemble leader for various local theatre troupes, Share has founded Isaac Music Studio and is dedicated to promoting Cantonese opera and Chinese music traditions.
