Biography
Hong Kong-born violinist Sean Lai received a Bachelor of Arts from The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts and a Master’s degree in Music from Music Academy Dresden, Germany. Lai was the associate concertmaster of the National Youth Orchestra of the Netherlands in 2012, and has performed with the orchestra around the Netherlands and Belgium. As an active chamber and Baroque musician, Lai regularly performs with Die Konzertisten and various opera companies in Hong Kong. In 2017, Lai co-founded the NOVA Ensemble, becoming the ensemble’s artistic director in 2018.
