R.O.O.T

Established by Jan Curious, lead vocalist of experimental band Chochukmo, and acclaimed jazz guitarist Teriver Cheung, R.O.O.T (Running Out Of Time) is a band whose music is rooted in jazz. Rounding out the sound are keyboardist Sotoc, an up-and-coming Cantopop composer, arranger and producer, and Fish, former drummer with Taiwanese band 831. Since 2016, R.O.O.T has performed at various festivals including Freespace Happening (2016, 2018) and Ear Up Music Festival (2019, 2021), and in 2019 performed with hip-hop group LMF at the LMF XX Year Fest. The band is known for playful, boundary breaking sounds, innovation in jazz, and experimentation with different genres.
