Award-winning pianist, composer, arranger and producer Patrick Lui has performed at festivals world-wide, and featured as guest conductor and pianist with the Taipei Jazz Orchestra and the Kyoto Composers Jazz Orchestra. His big band Patrick Lui Jazz Orchestra opened for the 2019 Hong Kong Jazz Marathon and was a headliner at the Freespace Jazz Fest 2019, 2020 and 2021. In 2020 he released his debut big band album Sonder, recorded in New York. In 2021, his composition Mirror Dance won the Marvin Hamlisch International Music Awards (Jazz Composition, Emerging Division). He also won the Taichung Jazz Piano Competition in 2011. Together with pop group RubberBand, he won the prestigious Commercial Radio 903 “Album of the Year” and “Song of the Year” awards with the album Easy and the song Ciao.
