Olivier Cong is a Hong Kong-based composer, pianist and singer-songwriter. He is a co-founder of independent label Raven & The Sea Music Production and a music director with Freespace Ensemble.
In 2018, Cong released his debut album A Ghost & His Paintings and became the first Hong Kong musician to be featured on Apple Music’s “New Artist Spotlight”. He has held concerts in the historic St Andrew’s Church in Hong Kong and the West Kowloon Cultural District.
Cong works with various genres of music and sound art, and also composes for film, dance and theatre. He has written music for the Hong Kong Ballet and Shanghai Opera House, and served as the music director for Chung Ying Theatre Company’s musical drama All My Life I Shall Remember. Cong has also worked with the K11 Art Foundation on music and sound installations, and collaborated with Tian Zhuangzhuang, Ann Hui, O Theatre Workshop and West Kowloon.
