Songwriter and composer Olivier Cong is music director with Freespace Ensemble and co-creator of the music label Raven & The Sea. Cong has performed internationally and locally and launched his debut album A Ghost & His Paintings in 2018 (recognised by Apple Music as first “Hong Kong Spotlight Artist”). He has commissioned works for Hong Kong Ballet and the Shanghai Opera House, and had compositions featured at the Hong Kong Light Pulse Festival and PMQ deTour Festival. Cong was Music Director for Chung Ying Theatre Company’s musical drama All My Life I Shall Remember. He also took part in Creation for Freespace: Choreographer and Composer Lab (2018, resulting work performed as part of Hong Kong Ballet’s Hong Kong Cool), recorded tracks for Freespace Mixtape Vol. 2 and 3, and participated in In Sync: Music in Motion (2021).
