Nelson Fung

Classical, jazz and experimental double bassist Nelson Fung performs with a range of jazz ensembles, big bands and pop artists and loves to explore musical boundaries. Fung is a co-founder of his own group The Water and jazz promotion organisation Fountain de Chopin, and has performed at a number of festivals, including Freespace Jazz Fest 2020, 2021 and 2022; HKT x WESTK POPFEST and the 2019 Jazz Marathon presented by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department. He has also played with the Patrick Lui Jazz Orchestra and collaborated with musicians such as Olivier Cong, Yoyo Sham, JB and many more. Fung is currently a member of Freespace Ensemble.
