Nelson Fung

Classical, jazz and experimental double bassist Nelson Fung performs with a range of jazz ensembles, big bands and pop artists and loves to explore musical boundaries. As co-founder and double bassist with the young jazz ensemble Rootless Voyagers, Fung has performed at a number of festivals, including Freespace Jazz Fest 2020 and 2021, the 2019 Jazz Marathon presented by LCSD. He has also played with the Patrick Lui Jazz Orchestra. Beyond jazz, Fung has played and collaborated with musicians such as Olivier Cong, Yoyo Sham, JB, manvsmachine and many more. Fung is currently a member of Freespace Ensemble.
