Ms Tennessy Hui is a practicing solicitor in Hong Kong. She studied law and was trained as a solicitor in Hong Kong. Ms Hui is a keen supporter of community services. She is currently a Council Member of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, a Member of the Liquor Licensing Board and the Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority, a Lay Member of the Medical Council of Hong Kong, a Non-Official Member of the Assessment Committee for the Funding Scheme to Support Transitional Housing Projects by Non-government Organisations, and Chairman of the Fishermen Claims Appeal Board (Trawl Ban) and Fishermen Claims Appeal Board (Marine Works). She is also an Observer of the Independent Police Complaints Council.
Ms Hui was awarded the Medal of Honour in 2016 and appointed a Justice of the Peace in 2011.
