Ms Li Anna Liu has developed extensive exposures in charitable foundation, cultural communication and arts development activities. From 2018 to 2019, Ms Liu served as the Co-Chair of the first M+ Visual Museum SIGG Prize. From 2011, Ms Liu served as the Chairman of the CCAA Chinese Contemporary Art Award (now known as the SIGG Prize). Under her chairmanship, CCAA has developed the CCAA documentation bank, organized international forums and public speeches, exhibiting curating and various publishing projects. Now SIGG Prize is a diversified exchange platform within China and around the globe.
Ms Liu is also a veteran investor, she is an investor in Axon's Global Green Protection Intelligent Mobility Platform, director of investment funds in telecommunication infrastructure in China and an avid Chinese classical art collector.
Ms Liu is the founder of the charitable Xue Qian Education Foundation and her family office has funded its operation since 1999. She was also a director member of the Jiangxi Women and Children Development Foundation and the Vice Chairman of the Museum Construction and Development Professional Committee of the Cultural Relics and Artwork commerce Chamber of CFIC.
From 2013, for many years she has served as the chief curator of the Beijing Oriental Art Expo and the artistic director of the China Hubei Art Expo. In 2019, she published the book《A Discussion on The Twenty Years of Chinese Contemporary Art 》as the editor-in-chief. In 2021, Ms Liu also served as the curator of the Beijing 798 Art Festival. She was the Vice Chair of the Appraisal and Evaluation Professional Committee of the China International Painting & Calligraphy Research Association. She is also the founding patron of M+.
Ms Liu was born in Beijing and graduated from the University of Wales with a master degree in business administration.
