Mr William Chan was the Human Resources Director of MTR Corporation Limited (MTRCL). He was responsible for human resource management, training and development, talent management for over 15,000 employees in Hong Kong. Prior to MTRCL, he held senior management positions in both the commercial and utility sectors, including the Government, the Hong Kong Productivity Council, Hutchison Whampoa Limited and Hong Kong Telecommunications Limited. Having worked for MTRCL for the last 23 years, William retired two and half years ago. After retirement, William was still active in community service. He is currently the Board Member of Hospital Authority, and the Chairman of Tuen Mun Hospital Governing Committee. William is the Non Executive Director of Stella International Holdings Limited, a listed company in HK. He is also the company's Remuneration Committee Chairman. William is a member of Pensions Appeal Panel, Committee on Professional Development of Teachers and Principals, and School of Business Advisory Committee of HK Baptist University. William is a seasoned HR professional. He was the former Vice President of the Hong Kong Institute of Human Resource Management from 2005 to 2010, and was the Council member of the Institute for many years.
