Mr Mohan Chugani established Tristar Enterprises Hong Kong which was incorporated in 1985 and is currently the Managing Director of the Company. Mr Chugani was the Vice President of The India Association Hong Kong from 2012 to 2013 and was elected as the President from 2014 to 2016. In 2022, Mr Chugani was re-elected and is now serving as the Vice President of the Association. Mr Chugani co-founded the Federation of Hong Kong Ethnic Communities in 2019 and serves as the Vice President of the Federation. Since the beginning of COVID-19 pandemic, Mr Chugani worked in collaboration with the Security Bureau, the Immigration Department and the Consulates-general of the Republic of India and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in Hong Kong to assist in the return of Hong Kong residents stranded in India and Pakistan through chartered flights.
Mr Chugani was the Founding Member and Vice Chairman of the Indian Resources Group which was in operation from 1994 to 2000. The Group successfully secured the issuance of British passports for stateless ethnic minorities subjects after the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region in 1997. Mr Chugani has been actively attending various Government working groups since 2014, including the Ethnic Minorities Forum of the Race Relations Unit of the Home Affairs Department, the Working Group on Ethnic Affairs and the Working Group on Community Integration of the Yau Tsim Mong District Council.
