Linus Chan graduated from the School of Film and Television of The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts in 2019, majoring in directing. He is passionate about various forms of video creation, including films, short films, commercials, music videos, live concerts and videos of plays. His short film Happy Birthday! won the Silver Award in the Youth Category of the 2014 ifva Awards, while Strick Back! received a Special Commendation Award for Best Microfilm in the Startup Group of the 2020 Microfilm Production Support Scheme (Music).
He has collaborated with Olivier Cong many times, including filming the online concert Milou's Dream in December 2020 and the music movie The Interpretation of Milou's Dream in March 2021. He also participated in the live filming of Cong’s I am afraid of concert in October 2021 and the production of the concert film.
In 2022, he received funding from the Hong Kong Arts Development Council to film the feature film Sparks upon us…Homeward. In November 2022, he collaborated with singer-songwriter Wong Hin-yan to film the music video for the independent artist’s song.
