Constantly in pursuit of new possibilities in performing arts, she is interested in curating cross-disciplinary collaborations and performances that weave spaces and people together.
Yu is currently based in Hong Kong. She serves as the artistic director of music and sound initiative Contemporary Musiking Hong Kong, the co-founder and co-artistic director of chamber percussion group The Up:Strike Project, and an associate musician with the Hong Kong New Music Ensemble.
