Kaki Lai graduated from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts with a BFA (Hons) in Theatre and Entertainment Arts (majoring in Lighting Design). Lai’s lighting design work includes Medea and Dust and Dawn (HKAPA), TechBox: Interaction of colour in space (Work-in-progress) (Collaboration of Performing Arts Division of West Kowloon Cultural District and the School of Theatre and Entertainment Art of Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts) and Choreographer and Composer Lab 2022: Works-in-development Showcase (Performing Arts Division of West Kowloon Cultural District); The Great Hong Kong Detective and Go Lion! Goal! 2021 (Theatre Space); Impetus (E-Side Dance Company), and Songs of Our Children (Every Life Is A Song). Lai’s video design work includes The Originals, The Amazing Filmphony – Music by Leon Ko (Hong Kong Sinfonietta), Interstage 2018: Tang Siu-hau Inner Strength Concert (HKAPA), and The Ward (Hong Kong Repertory Theatre).
