Jim Hui graduated from the Drama School of the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts in 2013, majoring in acting. He now mainly focuses on writing scripts with his acting skills. In recent years, his works as a screenwriter include The Bucket by the Hong Kong Repertory Theatre, Lost in Austin by the Actor's Family, Elephant in the Room by the Rainy Apple Theare, and more. He won the “Performer of the Year” at the IATC(HK) Critic Award 2018 by International Association of Theatre Critics (Hong Kong) for his performance in The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui (Horizon Theatre). He was also nominated for Best Actor at the 9th Hong Kong Theatre Libre for his performance in Kassandra – oder die Welt als Ende der Vorstellung (On and On Theatre Workshop). He has also appeared in various television productions, including ViuTV’s Sparks, Into the Wild and King of Live, as well as HOY TV's Kaka's Home Clinic.
