Biography
Local jazz drummer Jason Wong began playing drums when he was 15 years old and has studied with a number of well-known Hong Kong jazz musicians. He was the drummer with the Happy-Go-Lucky BigBand from 2020 to 2021, and a member of the Hong Kong Youth Jazz Collective between 2019 and 2021. Currently a member of the free jazz band Fountain Collective, Wong has performed with various groups at local festivals and venues, including Freespace Jazz Fest, Jazz Age II Party: This Side of Paradise, Lau Bak Livehouse and the Xiqu Centre. He is a founding member of Fountain de Chopin, a group promoting jazz in Hong Kong.
