Ir Daniel CHUNG Kum-wah is a professional civil engineer. Throughout his career in the Government, he worked in the planning, design and implementation of various public works projects including airport, buildings, drainage, highways, railways and urban/rural areas development. He was also the head of information technologies (IT) overseeing the IT development of works departments in the Government. He was the Director of Drainage Services Department, Civil Engineering and Development Department, and Highways Department of the HKSAR Government before retirement, overseeing the planning and implementation of various new development areas and major infrastructure projects, including Central Wan Chai Bypass, Guangzhou - Shenzhen - Hong Kong Express Rail Link, Hong Kong - Zhuhai - Macau Bridge, Harbour Area Treatment Scheme, and Kai Tak Area Development, etc.
