Short description
Chan Kei-ting received an Advanced Diploma in Cantonese opera from The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. During her studies, she was awarded a Hongkong Bank Foundation scholarship to study in Beijing. Mentored by her godfather, Lam Kam-tong, she also received coaching from virtuosi such as Poon Sai-lun, Leung Sum-yee, Ng Lut-kwong, Ye Anyi, Xing Jinsha and Hu Zhifeng. Chan performed the role of Lu Daoci in the HKAPA production, Love in a Time of Bloodshed, and received one-on-one training from maestro Lam Kar-sing. In recent years, she has performed with several local troupes, including the Golden Blossom Opera Troupe, the Sum Mei Cantonese Opera Songs Association and the Hong Kong Young Talent Cantonese Opera Troupe, broadening her stage experience and knowledge.
