Ayami Oki-Siekierczak

Ayami Oki-Siekierczak (PhD) is a set and costume designer whose works are often based on her academic research. As an academic, her research at the Tsubouchi Memorial Theatre Museum of Waseda University, Tokyo currently focuses on the reception of Western narratives in Asia, and colour theory / colour psychology in performance. These studies have helped her to design, to explore music, to create art installations, and to translate subtitles for theatre performances and films.
