Hong Kong-based percussionist, drummer, arranger and composer Anna Fan is the founder of PELAB (Percussion Ensemble LAB), a collective that explores the possibilities of percussion through pop, jazz and Broadway musical styles. Fan is also the creative director and lead singer with the art groups [dǎ jiān] and FANtastic Line, established to promote percussion music and jazz culture. Since 2021, Anna has been developing “ah Ka & ah Jon” project, a paper cajon workshop series which combines the concepts of pop art and upcycling. An established performer, she is the drummer with local jazz band maRK, and frequently participates in a variety of music programmes, such as the Music Office's "Jazz Hub" Music Experience Scheme, Flower Music – LITTLE KIDS JAZZ WORLD Family Concert Series. Anna also curated "A Classical x Percussion Bash", a modern percussion show of LCSD's Music Delight Series. Fan is also a host on the RTHK TV 31 programme Indie Music.
