As the Typhoon Signal No. 8 and the Black Rainstorm Warming are hoisted, the West Kowloon Cultural District (all Ticketing Offices, Art Park, Freespace, Hong Kong Palace Museum and Xiqu Centre) will be closed this morning. If the Typhoon Signal No.8 and the Black Rainstorm Warning signals are lowered at or before 2pm, HKPM will re-open within three hours. Otherwise, the museum will be closed for the whole day. M+ is closed on Mondays.

All outdoor markets and booths will not operate today. All indoor programmes (staged at The Box and The Room of Freespace, M+ Lightwell) will take place as scheduled.
For ticketed performance “Jazzscapes” originally scheduled to be held at Wonderland today (7 Oct), the performances of Li Xiaochuan.Melodious, Richard Bona and Nduduzo Makhathini will be staged at Lau Bak Livehouse starting from 1pm today. No ticket is needed.
Ticket holders for Jazzscapes yesterday and today (6 & 7 October) can use their ticket to join Jazzscapes for Sunday (8 October). For one-day ticket holders or three-day ticket holders who would like to arrange for a refund, please retain the e-ticket, and the refund arrangement (i.e: full refund for one-day ticket holders, and partial refund for three-day ticket holders) will be announced in due course.
Subject to the weather conditions, arrangements for programmes on 8 October (Sunday) will be announced in due course. All outdoor markets and booths will not operate tonight. All indoor programmes (staged at Lau Bak Livehouse, The Room of Freespace, M+ Lightwell) will take place as scheduled.
For ticketed performance “Jazzscapes” originally scheduled to be held at Wonderland today (6 Oct), “The Lawrence Ku Trio” performance will be moved to be staged at Lau Bak Livehouse at 6:30pm today. No ticket is needed.
Ticket holders for Jazzscapes today (6 October) can use their ticket to join Jazzscapes for Saturday or Sunday (7 or 8 October). For one-day ticket holders or three-day ticket holders who would like to arrange for a refund, please retain the e-ticket, and the refund arrangement (i.e: full refund for one-day ticket holders, and partial refund for three-day ticket holders) will be announced in due course.

Crowd Management Measures & Special Traffic Arrangements for 1 October 2023 (01.10.2023, 7:30 PM)

There is currently a large crowd in the West Kowloon Cultural District and the Police have implemented one-way pedestrian flow management starting from 7:25 pm.
Visitors cannot enter the District via the Artist Square Bridge that connects Artist Square to Elements.
Visitors who want to go to the Art Park must enter at the junction of Austin Road West and Museum Drive.
The Police have implemented road closures on Museum Drive and Cultural Drive starting from 7pm and all bus stops and minibus stops within the area of the road closures have been suspended.
The entrances and exits of all car parks in the West Kowloon Cultural District, except for the Xiqu Centre Car Park, have been closed since 7pm. Vehicles already parked in the car parks can only leave after the crowd has dispersed and the Police have lifted the road closures in the District, which is likely to be after 10:30 pm.
As the coverage of the road closures expands, the Xiqu Centre Car Park is expected to stop entry and exit starting from 8:30 pm.
The service of the complementary circular route bus has been suspended.
The Authority strongly recommends visitors to take public transport to the District.

Free Admission Arrangement for Hong Kong Palace Museum and M+ on 1 July 2023

To celebrate the 26th anniversary of the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, the seven thematic exhibitions (Galleries 1 – 7) in the Hong Kong Palace Museum (HKPM) and all exhibitions in M+ will open to the public for free on 1 July 2023 (Saturday).
The HKPM Free General Admission Tickets for 1 July have all been distributed/ redeemed. Thank you for your support.
Pre-registration is not required for admission to M+ on 1 July 2023.
Visitors who have purchased General Admission ticket(s) of HKPM or M+ for 1 July 2023 will be contacted by the relevant ticketing platforms regarding the refund and admission arrangements for 1 July.

Public Opening of Hong Kong Palace Museum Postponed to 3 July

Taking into consideration that the Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 will still be in force for some time, the Hong Kong Palace Museum announces that it will not open to the public today (2 July).
The public opening of the HKPM will be postponed to 3 July and the opening hours will be extended. The museum will open at 9am and close at 9pm tomorrow.
For visitors who have purchased tickets for 3 July, please follow the original arrangement and enter the museum within the first hour of the scheduled admission time.
For visitors who have purchased tickets for 2 July with admission time of 10am and 11am, they can use their tickets to enter the museum at 9am or at their scheduled time slot on July 3. Those who have purchased tickets for 2 July at 12 noon or thereafter can enter the museum at their scheduled time slot or after 4pm on 3 July.
The validity of the unused tickets will be extended for 180 days starting from the day affected (not applicable for free General Admission Ticket on Wednesday). The HKPM advises visitors that there is no need to rush to visit the HKPM on 3 July. Ticket holders can use the original tickets for admission at the same time slot on any day within the validity period. Visitors entering the Museum on Wednesdays will not be refunded the difference in the ticket price.

Resumption of M+ Online Reservation Service

M+ online reservation service has now resumed. Reservations for M+ admission in the first two weeks (12 - 28 November) can be made on a new platform via the West Kowloon website, M+ website, or through the ‘West Kowloon Cultural District’ mobile application. To facilitate the public to visit the museum in a small party, the new system allows each visitor to make reservations for a maximum of four people in one booking.
The original booking system was overloaded due to high demand. M+ will now take reservations through a new platform. Visitors who have already registered are not required to sign up again. We are sorry for any inconvenience caused.
