One ticket, two performances, double the joy – A unique double bill featuring original compositions by Tsui Chin-hung and Ted Lo’s personal tribute to legendary jazz pianist Chick Corea
    Description

An unmissable double bill showcasing two celebrated homegrown artists, featuring original compositions by Tsui Chin-hung and Ted Lo’s personal tribute to legendary jazz pianist Chick Corea.

In the first half of the evening, acclaimed guitarist, composer and arranger Tsui Chin-hung presents a selection of original compositions highlighting his unique, unconventional aesthetics embracing his classical background, and the wide-ranging influence of jazz and rock on his work.

Latter in the evening, Hong Kong legend Ted Lo teams up with vocalist Talie Monin and a stellar lineup of locally-based artists to pay tribute to Chick Corea – one of the most influential jazz pianists of all time. The session includes rearrangements from Corea’s days with jazz-fusion band Return to Forever, originally featuring Brazilian vocalist Flora Purim and drummer Airto Moreira – touching on personal memories for Lo, who played with Purim and Moreira in the 1970s in the US.
