    M+ is seeking exceptional candidates for the following roles for the Hong Kong participation in the 58th International Art Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia (Venice Biennale) from May to November 2019, co-presented by M+ and the Hong Kong Arts Development Council.  As part of our commitment to nurture local talent in the arts, the following roles offer the opportunity to gain unique insights into the working of the world’s oldest and most renowned international art exhibition.

    Venice Biennale Exhibition Internship

    1. Exhibition Intern (6 weeks)


    Working Location: Venice, Italy
    Duration: around 6 weeks

    • 1 May–14 June 2019
    • 12 June–27 July 2019
    • 25 July–8 Sept 2019
    • 6 Sept–20 Oct 2019
    • 18 Oct–1 Dec 2019

    2. Technical Intern (4–5 weeks)

    Working Location: Venice, Italy
    Duration: 4–5 weeks (April–May 2019)

    Successful candidates for the internship will be provided with flights, accommodation and a living allowance for the duration of their stay in Venice.  Professional training and briefing sessions will be offered to successful candidates in Hong Kong prior to their internship periods, where they will meet with the artist and curators.

    Curatorial Assistant (Venice Biennale) (23 months)

    Working Location: Hong Kong and Venice, Italy
    Duration: 23 months (January 2019 – November 2020)

    Candidate will be able to work closely with the M+ team and gain insight in research, development, logistic, art administration and exhibition-making.  Candidate will be able to work on the presentation of the exhibition at Venice in 2019 and the return show in Hong Kong in 2020. The position is part of the HKADC Arts Administration Internship Scheme supported by the Hong Kong Arts Development Council.
